Professor Yuval Shaked (PhD) is a Professor at the Department of Cell Biology and Cancer Science, Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Israel, the MIT of the Middle East. He is also the director of the Rappaport-Technion Integrated Cancer Center (TICC). 

He has pioneered the idea that a cancer tumor alters its microenvironment, to the tumor's advantage, therefore suggesting a double-edged sword to cancer therapy. That is a HUGE realization. Knowing this can change and is changing the face of cancer treatment.
