Black Pomade (Whoopee / Manzo Edits) is a Milan-born DJ now based in NYC, after nearly a decade in Lisbon, where he became a key figure in the local scene.
Founder of the RuΓnas collective and Whoopee party series, he's known for his high-energy sets blending dubby Disco, Chicago House, and Acid.
With releases on Last Forever Records, Stereo Ferment, and Rollover Milano's Anything Goes, his sound has taken him across Europe and Asia, sharing the decks with artists like Hunee, Josey Rebelle, Sam Ruffillo, among others.

Β«This mix is a collection of slow, hypnotic tribal tracks that pull you into a deeper groove. Itβs not about going full shamanic with Himalayan hats and such; it's just that after some digging in Tokyo, Lisbon, and London, I realized the stuff I was buying had sort of a theme going on, and I found myself drawn to these sounds.
Clearly, the influence of the Italian Afro/Cosmic scene emerges strongly in this mix. I really enjoy how the slower tempos, paired with deep basses and repetitive yet organic rhythmic patterns, donβt just get you moving physically β they make you feel the music mentally.
I thought Tiella Sound would be the perfect place to record this mix, given the care and attention they show for the quality of music and their cherished, refined sound.Β»
