Robyn Deverett chats with Umar after only meeting him 5 minutes before at the TIFF Conference Centre at the CBC building in downtown Toronto. This talk takes place outdoors, right across from the Toronto CN Tower.

Umar Farooq Khan is a film-maker, actor and producer, that has been working in the film industry for over a decade. He has done multiple roles for television shows on most of the major streaming platforms, including Netflix, Disney+ and Apple TV+. Khan also played the lead in a feature length film he created called, Dil Rakh: Gloves of Kin, which is available on Amazon Prime and Hulu. Through his company, Champ Productions Inc., he is producing and starring in multiple feature films to be made in North America, South Asia, as well as the Middle East.
