Tige O’Kane is a handsome but arrogant young Irishman—idle, selfish, and fond of drink and gambling. After yet another drunken quarrel with his father, he storms off into the countryside. While wandering through the dark woods, he comes across a group of men burying a corpse at midnight in consecrated ground.
