What do you think of when you hear TikTok? Memes? E-girl dance videos? Doctors?
TikTok has entertained us for hours on end, but it has also developed a stigma for being distracting and having a negative influence. In this podcast, we examine another possible use for a social media site: education. We interviewed Dr. Klyachman, who is completing his residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at NYU, and Dr. Goodarzi, a Harvard-trained physician who is board-certified in dermatology. They told us about how they're using TikTok to fight misinformation, inspire and educate thousands of people about medicine.
Special thanks to Dr. Ben Klyachman and Dr. Heidi Goodarzi!
Hosts: Rohan Nigam, Akhil Kumar, Jasmine Agyepong
Audio Editor & Music Producer: Kevin Bao
