Till I Come - Episode 6: Giving Due Diligence

Listen Later

  • To rightly divide the Word of truth is to give yourself wholly to understanding, not merely to what sounds agreeable. Sir Elorm teaches that Paul’s charge to Timothy was not against seeking truth, but against choosing preference over revelation. Many see the truth and still hold on to what they want to believe, avoiding the discipline of study that brings approval before God.

  • In your journey of faith, the Holy Spirit will only use what you have given yourself to. If you do not apply yourself to what is available, you cannot come into certain truths. To study is to give due diligence; to avoid vain babblings is to turn from worldly distractions that only lead to ungodliness.

  • Have you ever believed something only because your pastor said it — without proving it for yourself? True faith is not loyalty to an opinion, but submission to what God is saying. Meekness is power restrained by love, and it is in that meekness that God grants repentance and brings clarity. False doctrine, however, imprisons men and shapes them into what God never intended.

  • What to Expect:
  • -Rightly dividing the word of truth
  • -Profane and vain babblings
  • -Harming hearers of the word
  • -Absolution of truth over church dogma
  • -Aptness in teaching

  • Prepare for a convicting and enlightening session that stirs the believer toward diligence, humility, and sound understanding — till He comes.
  • Shalom! Maranatha!
