If you were standing in line for your donut at the 1816 Bakehouse when you spotted this man, you’d be forgiven for thinking you were in the presence of British Royalty. Chances are the man you have spotted is a slightly different royal though, none other than the Toastie King himself, Tim Bone.   Tim grew up in Nhill but, like many others, made Ballarat his home after starting Uni at Ballarat University. After Uni, Tim took on the role of running the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program at Yuille Park Community College, before the opportunity to compete on Australia’s MasterChef presented in 2019. Out of 8000 hopefuls Australia-wide Tim did an amazing job, finishing in the top 4 of Season 11.  Since returning to Ballarat Tim has followed his passion in food further, creating the well recognised Tim’s Toasties stand at local markets and, word has it, 2021 may be the year when Ballarat gets its first toastie shop! In the podcast Tim shares a little bit about himself, his passion for food and the things he does that make him happy.
