Today's guest on the Lead with Empower Podcast is Number 8 with the Green Bay Packers, Tim Boyle. Tim shares stories and insight about his journey from Durham, Connecticut to the NFL - including lessons learned during his very successful high school career at Xavier High School, challenges faced and conquered at the college level, and what it is like living out his dream of being an NFL Quarterback. In the Fall, Tim will enter his third year in the NFL, all with the Green Bay Packers. In his short career, Tim has gone from an undrafted free agent from Eastern Kentucky University to the back-up quarterback for an all-time NFL great. Tim is physically gifted; however, I consider his strongest qualities to be the skills he possesses that have nothing to do with throwing a football.
Leadership Notes and Other Highlights:
Tim shares insight into his jump from high school to college football and eventually to the NFL
Just a "camp arm" as an undrafted free agent quarterback? Not to Tim! Tim shares his thoughts on the importance of viewing challenge as opportunity
Tim discusses the importance of self-reflection, self-improvement, and surrounding yourself with a rock solid support system in his own leadership
The reality of being an NFL back-up - it's a dogfight every day!
The importance of consistency in leadership
Tim shares his "oh shit, I'm in the NFL" moment!
