Tim Dattels is an athlete advocate. He’s also a philanthropist who has used not only his own money but also his connections and business sense to help athletes bridge the incredible funding gap that often means the difference between ski racing and retirement. As the Chair of the Board for Alpine Canada, he’s played a pivotal role in supporting Canada’s ski racing community. We caught up with Tim in Whistler earlier this season to talk about his journey—what drew him to alpine ski racing, how he’s working to support athletes, and the unique challenges they face.
