The KING of accelerated, or meta learning – Tim Ferris

There are people you come across in life who have something special. It’s a  special quality that makes them thrive, produce, and impact the world in ways that others just can’t seem to do. Tim Ferris is one of those people. In this rebroadcast from David’s previous podcast, “The Kickass Life,” Tim is going to share a ton of great information about himself, and  how he’s looked at life in a way that has helped his books hit the New York Times best-seller list multiple times.

Tim’s story is one that many people can relate to. He was a small kid who was hyperactive and into reading; not the kind of child you’d think would become a world-changing force as he has.

Accelerated learning is Tim’s strong suit

Tim has devoted his life to deconstructing the way people become not only proficient, but professional in how they do things. He’s studied the biochemistry, habits, and actions of ultra successful people to boil down the techniques, mindsets, and actions they use to get the results they do. His blog and books are dedicated to teaching what he’s learned, including his own personal experiments – failures and all.

One thing Tim said on this episode that was powerful was…

I suck at everything in the beginning. It’s those things I want to highlight so people can learn from it.

More about Tim Ferris

Tim Ferriss really is an amazing guy who’s accomplished a ton in his lifetime. He has been listed as one of Fast Company’s “Most Innovative Business People”, Forbes Magazine’s “Names You Need to Know,” and is the 7th “most powerful” personality on Newsweek’s Digital 100 Power Index for 2012.  That’s some high praise from some very reputable sources, wouldn’t you say?

He is an angel investor/advisor and author of 3 great books that were mentioned in this episode:

* The 4-Hour Workweek

* The 4-Hour Body

* The 4-Hour Chef
