Ratbag with Mel & Sam

Tim from MAFS, Belle Gibson & Swimming In A Dead Skin Pool

Listen Later

Hello treasures! Welcome to today’s very first ‘Ratfood On The Road’ - filmed straight from our hotel room in Perth as we are currently on tour with our live show! So happy to have you back for another ratty ratty rat-food!

This week, we heavily unpack our own thoughts on the infamous Tim from MAFS and the danger that behaviour like his can caused when aired on national television. We also unpack the notion of themed parties, how neither of us are hostesses-with-the-mostesses in our blood (even though we wanna be!), we chat how we scammed first year WAAPA students during their O Week, some outrageous interactions we’ve had out flying this week, and we recount one of our most heinous touring stories from the last time we were in Perth (warning: not for the faint hearted).

Sam also addresses the rumours that she’s dating Mel’s sister, the girls unpack their hideous Year 12 formal looks and they chat about the feelings of ‘asking for attention’ with a birthday party when you’re a performer (AKA professional attention seeker) for a living!

It’s a goody - so strap in. Pull yourself up a lil’ plate of Ratfood. And enjoyyy. We’ll see ya on Monday cuties!!

Mel & Sam would like to acknowledge that Ratbag is being recorded on Stolen Land.

The original custodians of this land have had a rich history of storytelling for over 65,000 years, and we pay our respects to the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation whose land we are recording Ratbag on.

Treaties were never signed. Sovereignty was never ceded. Always was and always will be Aboriginal land.
