This is a reading of a letter to a friend who flew today for the first time since the pandemic started. She's headed to Tennessee to take care of her 95-year-old father for two months. I know the whole trip, starting with the flight, won't be easy easy. I wanted her to be able to hear the Colorado aspen trees when she is far from her cabin in the woods where she retreats from the over-busy world as often as she can. I'm sending her that wonderful sound.
