Hebrew 12:6: “My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, Nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him;For whom the Lord loves He chastens,And scourges every son whom He receives.” Proverbs 12:1: “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge,But he who hates correction is stupid.” A mentor will correct you as needed so you can learn what is being done wrong. Correction is not something to be mad about it will make you a better mentor later on as you go from the mentee to the mentor.
