Mel’s Mindful Moments - S1-E79
Time….
Where does the time go?
It endlessly moves forward and never looks back.
We hardly notice time as it speeds by.
And then later, we wonder were it all went.
What if you had a clock that you could set to any time in history?
What time in history would you set it to?
The past or the future?
The past is something we are familiar with.
This is where our memories live, both good and bad.
What they were, they still will be, with no opportunity to change them.
We could only experience them again.
Or maybe you want to experience a time in history before your birth.
Maybe you could discover if they told the story correctly in our history books?
The future however, is quite different.
These are things yet to be. This could be exciting or frightening.
Knowing the future could satisfy one’s curiosity.
What kind of new inventions are there?
Will we colonize other planets?
What do the people look like? What kind of transportation do they use?
Is the earth even still here?
Is time travel possible now?
But for us in the here and now, this is the time we are living,
Which in a way, we do have such a clock.
Sure we can’t set it to a time in history.
But whatever we are doing right now is what creates our past.
And whatever we did yesterday is what effects our future.
Therefore, we are in essence living time machines.
So think about this as you go about your day.
And with that, I’ll see you in the future!
