God is in Control

God threw the soldiers into panic

God threw hailstone on them
God is sovereign over all

Prayer Matters

Joshua prayed (v 8)

God answers “I have given them into your hands”
Mark 9:23-24 – Help my unbelief!
Rom 10:17 – Faith comes from the Word
Joshua prays again out loud (v 12)
Ps 118:6 – I will not fear man
Stop time! Sun, stand still.

Evil is Punished

Five kings rand and hid in a cave

Joshua secures the cave
“Put your foot on their necks”
Man hanging on a tree is cursed
John 19:31 – didn’t leave men on crosses past sundown
Gal 3:13-14 – Jesus was cursed for us
Gal 4:4-7 – you can be forgiven and part of God’s family
