Amber Knowles, Executive Director of The Riverside Project, pictures a river carrying vulnerable children toward tragedy. You and your friends notice the situation, take your places along the river, and work together to help them find stability.
The Riverside Project supports the Houston community to do this work for children in the foster care system. They mobilize the church, coordinate a response network, and teach trauma-informed care, so that everyone can find their place along the river.
We strongly believe in the work Amber is doing and invite you to swap your time with her in this episode.

“We are the evangelism of our time,” says Doug Meikle in our fifth episode of Time Swap. He is convinced that Christians in the workplace are called to be “evidence” that demands a “verdict” from the world.
Doug lives out his conviction by serving as the CEO of Star of Hope, leading with both innovation and joy. He invites everyone in Houston to “come and see” the compassion of their work. Furthermore, he has founded TrueWorks, a nonprofit that seeks to re-enchant the often frustrating work of professionals in Houston.
