The year is coming to an end and it's likely you are head-down busy on the job. But now is the time to think about what professional development opportunities you want to pursue in the year ahead.

Where do you need to be inspired to continue to grow in your career? What do you need, or want, to learn? What is out there that will give you that learning opportunity. If not a conference, maybe a class. Maybe it's time for an executive coach. Maybe there's a leadership forum that's right for you.

And it's not just yourself that you must consider when thinking about professional development. When thinking about your team, where and how are they trying to expand their professional knowledge and skills? Create a plan that fits within the budget.
