It’s time to free yourself. Generations have been steeped in this idea that life not only can, but should look perfect. The funny thing is, “perfect” doesn’t exist. Life, and families, and growth journeys look as uniquely beautiful as the people that create them. You wouldn’t look at cake batter and shame it for not being as beautiful as an iced and decorated cake! Or get mad at the batter for making a mess of your mixing bowl. Ok, so maybe that analogy might be a stretch, but how silly is it that we look at ourselves and shame ourselves for being human!? Tune into this episode for ways we can take a deep breath and give ourselves permission to let go of perfection. It’s time to let go of thinking you have to look perfect, or have it all together to please others.
00 Pressure to be perfect, when life was hard as a kid at home.
30 Letting go of the false advertisement that life needs to look picture perfect.
40 How my perspective has changed as a human and a mom over the years.
40 The dreaded family picture experience.
00 The power of giving yourself permission to let go of perfection.
