A divorced mother of three & grandmother of four, my career background includes teacher, business programmer analyst, systems analyst, senior business systems analyst, corporate trainer, corporate executive, and author of the “Ms. Single Mom – Yes, You Can!” and “Ms. Single Mom – Elevate Your Game!” self-help books which offer success strategies for our single moms.

I have more than 25 years of experience on subjects ranging from parenting and personal enrichment to corporate business development. I've been featured on television and radio public service announcements, and several daytime talk shows.  

I purposely empower the underserved to succeed and am frequently involved in community, civic and corporate affiliations that encourage success.  I currently serve as a City of Long Beach Equity & Human Relations Commissioner - and also as a member of the Long Beach Black Health Equity Collaborative (BHEC-LB).

I have served multiple terms on the LA Urban League Board of Directors, the Black Business Association Advisory Board, UC San Diego Black Alumni Scholarship Council, and the National Alliance of African American Athletes-Los Angeles Chapter Planning Committee.

I’m a native of Tyler, Texas and proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a national public service organization that’s synonymous with the success and empowerment of women!
