Well at first glance this may have looked like your garden variety grand prix of 2023 but oh there was so much more to it. Mercedes much? The Rain man George Russell thought he knew better than the Red Bull pit but sadly he was mistaken. Leclerc was lost, Sainz was fine(s) and Perez was wilfully persistent but it was Max (Spayne) who made an intense, and fast paced race look like a leisurely Sunday drive.
