I have to confess that I was genuinely shocked, when the unemployment numbers were released yesterday. I had expected to see something bad. After all the week before saw initial claims for unemployment insurance sky rocked to 3.2 million claims. A number I never thought I would see.

And then yesterday came the report that last week's unemployment claims doubled that number yet again to 6.6 million out of work.

That's an incredible 10 million added to the unemployment roles in just 2 weeks!
