In this episode I talk about the short story "Tin Woodman" by co-authors  Dennis Russell Bailey and David Bischoff. 

It was first published in December 1976 as a short story in "Amazing  Science-Fiction" magazine, then in novel form in 1979. 

If the story sounds familiar to you that's because it became popularized in an entirely different venue.  I'll go into that as well.
