Willowshore’s troubles are far from over, but the dangers have become less tangible—and, for some, far more personal. With each loss, more villagers turn to the Protectors for guidance. The town's leadership vacuum applying all the more pressure. Faced with challenges they can’t simply fight head-on, they set out in search of a different kind of guardian. But will their quest for Ugly Cute fare any better than their last endeavor, or are they once again chasing shadows?
