Welcome to another episode of #TipTopTipsEdu!
In this episode, we are joined by Hong Kong-based educator, Tim Evans! Originally from Wales, Tim is now the Educational Technology Coordinator at Stamford American School in Hong Kong. As an Apple Distinguished Educator, Microsoft Innovative Educator and Google Certified Innovator, Tim is always on the look-out for the latest technology that can support teaching and learning, and he is passionate about connecting, collaborating and sharing with others. Having spoken and led learning at several events around Asia and as an author on the Global Edtech team, Tim understands the importance of sharing experiences and learning from peers (especially in the ever-changing world of technology!) so he is a perfect guest to have on #TipTopTipsEdu.
With so many great experiences throughout his career, in this episode, Tim draws upon his vast experience and shares lots of ideas around the following five questions:
As someone who helps coordinate ICT in your school, in Primary you look at cross-curricular opportunities. How do you go about finding cross-curricular opportunities for embedding ICT and Computing and can you share some examples of where this has been successful?
It’s almost the end of the academic year – how do you go about closing things down with edtech in your school and subsequently preparing for next year? Do you have induction? How do you keep work in Google Classroom available for next year and ensure that students still have access to all of their examples of learning?
