Kirk Durrant is a construction law partner in the DWF Doha office. He has been practicing and resident on Doha for over 12 years.
He has considerable experience advising clients in relation to construction disputes/international arbitrations and non-contentious construction matters, including matters relating to major pipeline projects (energy, water, waste), utility projects (district cooling, power, water), process facility projects (solar, desalination, bio-fuels), transportation projects (airports, sea-ports, railway), infrastructure projects (roadways, bridges, tunnels) and commercial projects (mixed-used developments, hotels, theme parks).
He has extensive experience arbitrating disputes in many of the world's arbitration centres and counselling clients in connection with different project delivery methods (including traditional delivery, design-build, EPC, EPCM, PPP, BOT, BOOT and DBOM models), and preparing and negotiating standard form (i.e. FIDIC, NEC, JCT, AIA, etc.) and bespoke construction agreements. In 2012 and 2013, Kirk was recognised by Chambers and Partners as a leading dispute resolution lawyer in the MENA region.
