Everyday I speak with so many people who are tired of all the constant conflict revolving their life each day. Tired of struggling. Tired of feeling miserable. Tired of conflict. Tired of not getting ahead personally or professionally. Tired of feeling that their life is a mess.
Have you ever felt that way: sick and tired and weighed down by troubles and challenges? Can you relate to being confused about how to make the lasting changes you want to make (surviving a job that’s making you miserable; losing weight once and for all; ending conflicts with family and coworkers; escaping financial woes; finding love in your life)?
The emotional stress of fighting the same old battles at work. For so many years, I grew tired of butting my head into the concrete wall of roadblocks thrown up constantly by those who considered themselves as more important than anyone but themselves believes them to be. I was tired of the conflict generated by people with no training or experience in some matters telling others who are trained and experienced how to do their jobs. Not to mention all the interpersonal conflict that comes with people not following through on commitments, not taking initiative, and not doing their best when there are so many others working their back sides off to do things well. What really drove me crazy was grown folks acting like children in the workplace, waking up every morning to spawn conflict among their co-workers about matters completely unrelated to work.
I get it. You’re tired of the struggle. When I say I get it, it’s because I honestly understand from my own life experience. You’re at a place that many people get to, and some get stuck in. I’ve been there. I wish there were a single, brilliant answer I could give you that would release you from the recurring pain you find yourself in. You’ve already tried “quick fixes” and you know they don’t work. I found out the hard way how ineffective and costly quick fixes can be in life.
Today, your host Reggie Maddox is going to discuss the feeling we all have of being tired of fighting. Please share your thoughts and comments about the show. Don’t forget to tell a friend and share this podcast.
