"YOU ARE SO GREEDY. Four words. Four words that pierced my heart with pain of a 10 year old child being told they are not worthy, that they are a bad person. "You are so greedy." Even now, it hurts to think of the look on that child’s face. It wasn’t about the toy. It was about being told by your mother - the person in the world who is supposed to love you the most - that you are greedy, all for wanting a toy before Christmas."

Trauma. It affects all of us, whether we realize we carry it or whether it just takes up space in our lives, and this time of year (8 days before Christmas), the space our generational/communal trauma takes up can be filled with pain, suffering and fear.
