The Tennessee Titans have released their official depth chart before NFL Week 1 against the New Orleans Saints. Titans Today by Chat Sports host Tom Downey has 5 surprising takeaways from the Titans depth charts:
- The Malik Willis vs. Will Levis QB2 Battle has not been formally decided, with head coach Mike Vrabel giving the old ‘OR’ (or in this case a slash) designation. In theory we’ll know Week 1 when the Titans designate a QB3 to not count against the gameday roster.
- Chris Hubbard is starting at right tackle, as expected. Dillon Radunz is listed as the backup at RT and RG.
- Jack Gibbens is the second starting inside linebacker. That’s ahead of Monty Rice and Luke Gifford. Imagine predicting that this time last year.
- Elijah Molden is labeled as a safety. That makes sense, because Tennessee is otherwise very thin at safety
- There’s no clear kicker return. It’s a 3-way tie between Kearis Jackson, Tyjae Spears and Julius Chestnut
