Qualifications for Church Leadership (Titus 1:5–9)**: Paul outlines the qualities necessary for elders (or overseers) in the church. He emphasizes that leaders must be above reproach, faithful to their spouse, and have children who are well-behaved. Key traits include being self-controlled, hospitable, and able to teach sound doctrine. Paul stresses the importance of integrity and moral character, as these qualities ensure that leaders can effectively guide and protect the church community.

Dealing with Offenders in the Church (Titus 1:10–16)**: Paul addresses the presence of false teachers and those who disrupt the faith of others. He warns Titus that there are many rebellious people who teach things they should not, motivated by greed. Paul instructs Titus to rebuke these offenders sharply to protect the integrity of the church. He highlights the importance of sound doctrine and the need for church leaders to confront false teachings to maintain the truth of the Gospel.
