If you’re new here, each week we take Sunday’s sermon and descend into what it looks like to live it out in our everyday lives as we share the love of Christ with those around us. Our prayer is that this podcast would encourage you and remind you of God’s goodness throughout your week.

In this week’s episode, Haley is joined by Aaron LeDuc and Josh Elgard as we dive into our series on Titus: Formed by the Gospel. If you have missed any previous sermons, you can catch up on the series HERE. Aaron preached this week on “Compelled by the Gospel” from Titus 2:15.

  • You said that if we can share our story and remember “God–Man–Christ–Response,” we’re already theologians. For everyday believers who feel fear entering into conversations we feel ill-equipped, what does it look like to grow in knowledge in a healthy way, while still remembering that we’re not the ones responsible for saving anyone?
  • There is a distinction between compulsory authority and influential authority: specifically that Jesus has all authority, but He doesn’t force belief. How should we understand that alongside passages that say no one comes to faith in Jesus unless the Father draws them? If God is the one who ultimately draws and saves, what exactly is our role?
  • Where do you both tend to lean? Toward retreating and staying quiet, or toward going ALL CAPS? And what does it look like to pull back toward the middle?
  • If someone had clarity and courage but not integrity, what happens? Why is integrity such a non-negotiable companion to gospel proclamation?
  • At the end of the day, we can speak clearly and even boldly, but if we’re not delighting in the gospel- we’ve missed the “why.” What’s the difference between being compelled by guilt or pressure versus being compelled by joy in the gospel? And how can we tell which one is driving us?
