As we kick off our Epilepsy Awareness Week, I am excited to welcome, Octavia Page, mother, advocate & Executive Director of Fashion No Boundaries.
Octavia’s 12 years old son TJ was born at 24 weeks with Epilepsy and Cerebral Palsy. TJ also suffers from Lennox Gastaut Syndrome and Electrical Status Epilepticus in Sleep (ESES) which has resulted in TJ being in several comas to stop the seizure activity. Due to TJ’s going into cardiac arrest back in 2013 he was placed on ventilator that helps daily to support him with epilepsy and respiratory failure.
Octavia states “Epilepsy truly has been our worst nightmare as TJ has two rare syndromes with no help for him.”
Despite all of this adversity TJ is always happy 🙂 He absolutely loves Spongebob, Beyonce and his family!
Listen in as Octavia shares her and TJ’s incredible journey with Epilepsy & his other serve medical conditions. Plus, how the non-profit Fashion No Boundaries was born.
