Today, I am graced with the presence of a Phoenix-based cultural artist on a meteoric rise. Lucinda Yrene Hinojos, AKA La Morena, is a painter/muralist whose creations help to promote activism within the marginalized indigenous population. As an "artivist", La Morena, uses her platform as a source for funding/awareness campaigns to get more voices involved and to be heard.
