Hello everyone!

Over the Christmas holiday, precisely 24 hours after our son's birthday, my hubby made the brave decision to give in to all of us whiners and got us a dog. We packed up the tots and drove a short distance, where I happily took the leash to this small (then) little black golden saint puppy. He looked up at me, wagged his tail a little, and was very meek and shy. I lovingly comforted him, guided him to our van, and lifted him into the back. He lay on my lap and sucked on my sleeve the entire drive. I was so happy, I cried. I couldn't believe FINALLY I have a childhood dream. AT LAST my very own pup. We got home, and since that day we have been scrambling to keep up with the pup!

It's brought us all a little closer together, we are more aware of each other, more willing to help, and more understanding. Though my kids are still young, they are fostering a sense of caregiving for our pup. They have become more responsible and pick up after themselves before the pup runs away with toys in his mouth. As many ups come with getting a new pet, there are also downs. But I can wholeheartedly tell you that the ups, 100% outweigh the downs. If you want a dog and you've been "waiting for a sign". Well, here's your sign. GET A DOG! lol 

What's the moral of this episode? Well, if you kick and scream loud enough you'll eventually get what you want! I- Just kidding!!

Good things come to those who wait, you may wait a long time or even a lifetime like I did. But when you are ready, willing, and strong enough to brave your fears, you too will get what you want. Just make sure that it is what you want.
