TLEs / Rainbow Six

Listen Later

On this episode, Brett regurgitates some of the most "creative" backronyms scientists have ever pieced together. (Sprites, Ghosts, Elves, etc.) But it's worth the trouble because upper-atmospheric lightening is fascinating. Then Josh deep dives into a Tom Clancy action classic with enough hyper-specific military jargon to justify his throbbing tactical boner. Set in the '90s, with "quaint" terrorists (that still apparently deserve red-misted skulls), the world-ending viral plot feels different in a post-Covid world. It's time for the thick but perfectly-paced novel: Rainbow Six.
