Well, instead of doing their bare minimum job, passing a budget, the United States Senate just passed another continuing resolution. And of course, you and I were given mere hours to see what was in the bill before they passed it. The CR wasn’t just keeping the lights on as politicians want you to believe. It continues Biden Pelosi level spending and through a procedural trick, they attached what’s called a minibus bill. This adds an additional $187 billion in criminalizes common hemp products. The bill waives the PAYGO rules, rehires laid off federal employees, and strips power from the administration to lay off federal workers in the future. In the end, nobody in Washington won, but the universal loser is, as always, you and I, the taxpayer.
