Today we start off the show talking about the challenge Ty gave me 2 weeks ago.
Ty challenged me to run a sprint triathlon and to create an investment plan. I completed both and they were very difficult.
Before we talk about that, let’s talk about the DEAD Week challenge. Ty and I both had a hard time and we found that it pushed us more than we thought it would. It was great for that reason.
One of the things that kept me going was the saying from Anel Bester (on episode 43 of the podcast) where she says, “If your body says you can’t run 1 more step, and you do, your body is lying.” I used that phrase to get me through the sprint triathlon.
As far as my investment plan, I tried to keep it very simple which is important.
Next we talk about the action items given to us from this last week’s podcast guest, Hans Struzyna (episode 73).
The action items are:
Write goals daily
Get on an exercise regimen
Audit the people around you
Lastly, Ty gave me the new challenge of counting calories for 1 week and then living on a calorie deficit for the next week.
It was a great conversation and it helped show that Ty and I are human and doing things is hard. That hopefully will motivate you to get started doing hard things no matter how scared, nervous or whatever you are. Just do it.
