ABOUT KATHERINE ROE:
Katherine Roe, Ph.D., is a neuroscientist and Chief of Science Advancement and Outreach with the Laboratory Investigations Department of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA), where she liaises with government funding agencies, universities, and corporations to end harmful and ineffective experiments on animals.
She graduated magna cum laude from Syracuse University and earned a doctorate in psychology and cognitive science from the University of California–San Diego.
After completing a postdoctoral fellowship at Johns Hopkins University, she went on to become a research fellow at the National Institutes of Health, where she served for eight years.
Dr. Roe has more than 20 years of experience conducting brain and neuroimaging research with humans and is an expert at experimental design and data analysis.
