In 1st grade, his mother told him, “Go be a leader.” At age 16, his father’s death flipped his mindset causing him to consistently ask if, “my actions are reflective of my intentions or purpose.” From a 2X State Champ and 2X All-American in HS to a 4-year starter and team MVP at NAVY to a 2ndLt in the Marine Corp, Ryan Kern embodies the ideals of leadership. He discusses the concepts/values necessary for him to honor his father’s legacy and his mother’s request.
