Growing up in Dallas Texas where lacrosse was not well recognized, Meg Carney combined her work ethic with a chip on her shoulder to prove she can hang with anyone becoming a 2019 Gold Medalist for Team USA and a multiple time All American at one of the top programs in the nation. She has navigated several severe injuries that caused her to miss playing time but has turned each obstacle into an opportunity to learn, surround herself with good people, support younger players and truly commit to always improve. Her motto and advice to younger players is simple, “Instead of proving others wrong, prove yourself right!”
