At the age of 9, Peter Berry’s family was involved in a car accident that killed both his parents, injured his 5 year old sister and left both he and his brother paralyzed from the waist down. Despite losing his parents and use of his lower body, he used his innate optimistic mindset and physical drive to focus on what he could do. Since then, he has redefined what family means, is thriving and continuing the legacy of his parents. His drive, determination and follow through on commitment have earned him a full scholarship for wheelchair basketball at University of Alabama and a spot on Team USA. Despite the repeated challenges in his life, Peter utilizes the life lessons he has learned to provide inspiration and hope for anyone who might need it.
