Today is the last day that you can access guideline.gov.Unless a non-governmental organization comes forward to fund the project, guideline.gov will remain offline. So….head on over and download all the CPGs while you can! Mississippi is now issuing compact privileges (starting at 9AM EST on July 16, 2018). The American College of Obstetricians & Gynecologists provided recommendations for the first 12 weeks postpartum, including a recommendation for physical therapy as warranted. CMS has a new proposed rule! It proposes: Adding PTs to MIPS, beginning in 2019 Eliminating Functional Limitation Reporting (G-codes) 2 therapy modifiers to identify services furnished in whole or in part by PTAs or OTAs. The APTA has teamed up with United Healthcare to help develop a study that answers the question: What would happen if payers encouraged patients with low back pain (LBP) to explore low-risk treatments such as physical therapy by waiving copays for initial sessions? United Healthcare will be choosing 10 sites for the pilot program, and the study results could be released as early as the end of this year.
