To BE Continued

Long time, no record? We apologize for the long and abrupt hiatus; we'll give you a more detailed check-in during a future episode. B. & E. are back with an impromptu conversation to start Season 3! In true To BE Continued fashion, this conversation came about randomly and had its fair share of tangential detours, but we kept it well below our typical 45 minutes, so, growth? Speaking of growth, this conversation connects thoughts on the "growth mindset" and how capitalism creates a societal norm in strict contradiction to that. Conversations like these definitely need To BE Continued!

In this episode, B. and E., along with special guest and E.'s partner, Will, discuss DaBaby's comments at Rolling Loud and how it relates to homophobia in the Black community. The three read homophobic, cishet Black people for filth, so sit back and enjoy!

Happy Listening!

Hop into B. and E.'s rant over the corruption that is policing in the U.S. They discuss recent cases where police and the justice system proved, once again, the double standard that exists in how Black and brown people are treated in comparison to our less-melanated counterparts. To decompress and end on a positive, they have a brief conversation about the masterpiece that is "Dreamgirls" (definitely a conversation that will need to be continued...). Happy listening!

We catch up on our weeks, including having a conversation about microaggressions toward Black folks in response to our hair care, amongst other characteristics that aren't white-adjacent. Our main topic: The backlash that Lil Nas X has had endured after the release of his video for "MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)," and the subsequent troll release of the themed "Satan Sneakers." We discuss the symbolism in the video, the importance of LGBTQ+ representation, and how haters gonna hate.  Have any thoughts on the topics we discuss in this episode? Message us at our social media below so that we can continue this conversation. Happy listening!
