I’ve met many men and women through my years of ministry who are prisoners of their past. They can’t accept that God can redeem them.  Their regrets blind them from seeing what God sees – that sinners are set free by the blood of His Son given on the cross.

Perhaps the idea of us being made holy by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ really is tough to let sink in.  I mean, wow.  We are made holy – that’s amazing, isn’t it?  With one act we are forgiven.  With one sacrifice we are made new, and in the eyes of God, holy.

Hebrews 10:10 in the Bible says “We have been made holy through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.” Amazing!  No matter how we see ourselves and our past indiscretions we are made perfect again through Christ.

Do you know someone who is struggling to accept his or her holiness through and in Jesus Christ?  Reach out to them and help them to see God’s love and goodness revealed in the cross.  His redemption is so mighty and so powerful – it is truly a gift that has to be shared.  It’s too profound to keep to ourselves.  Spread the news! Let God use you.
