This book challenges us to move from our places of comfort and go on a journey of intimacy with God. Listening to Him, instead of purely giving our requests or pouring out our complaints.

The author tells of her personal trauma of the sudden death of her husband and how that affected her and her young family. But through that, God has taken her into a deeper relationship with Himself. She encourages us to dream 'God' dreams and grasp hold of the purposes God has planned for us through intimacy with Himself.

One chapter is called, 'Our Purpose is Greater Than Our Pain', it tells how God uses our past to shape our future. We are diamonds in the hands of God, and diamonds are created through great pressure. The whole book is backed up with scripture.

This book has spurred me on to listen to what God is saying in every situation and circumstance.
