"Religion that is pure and undefiled before God, the Father, is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world." - James 1:27

When I read the raving recommendations from Bob Goff, Katie Davis and Esther Havens, I knew I had to interview Bethany Haley Williams and read her book. I also knew it wouldn't be easy.

She's the Executive Director of Exile International and works to restore hope to children impacted by war. This isn't a fluffy podcast. This is the stuff that matters deeply.

We talk about everything from the Rwandan genocide to a mission trip that changed her life to her own personal brokenness and how it ultimately led her to ministering to children who are being radically restored and healed

In This Episode You'll Hear...

What happened after Bethany hit rock bottom

How art therapy, dance and music are helping the children she works with who have survived the Rwandan genocide

How God is bringing healing to broken places

What balancing Rwanda and Nashville looks like

Tips on approaching your spouse about counseling
