In this Sunday's readings, we have a very simple message: that we should be careful not to judge what we have no way of perceiving until something happens. In our own lives and in the lives of others it's only by our actions that we truly know the nature of the other person and ourselves. It is not until the mouth speaks that we can truly judge the intelligence of the individual. It is not until the person is asked to love that we can truly know that they are a loving person. It is for this reason that we cannot be blind leaders of the blind and not first look at whether or not we ourselves have a hindrance that prevents us from being effective for God.
