Upon the tragic death of the church’s first martyr, Stephen, a great persecution swelled against the believers in Jerusalem. One would think that this would squash the Jesus movement. But it had the opposite effect. Ordinary believers were scattered to the winds, going to some of the most surprising places, proclaiming the good news of God’s kingdom. This Sunday, we continue our series in the Book of Acts and contemplate where and how the Spirit will lead us to proclaim the good news of God’s gracious kingdom!
