Jesus' response to the Canaanite women has puzzled many over the centuries. It no doubt puzzled His disciples. Three times Jesus rejects her request, and appears to treat her harshly. Yet the woman keeps coming back over and over - learning in the process the implications of what it means for Jesus to be Messiah and what it is He came to do.
