Romance with a dose of sugar and a dash of spice  About Denise—from her website, www.denisenwheatley.com   I am a lover of romance, happy endings and the art of storytelling. My first novel, I WISH I NEVER MET YOU, was published by Simon & Schuster in 2004. I've since traditionally published several novels and novellas, including contemporary, suspense and paranormal romance. I strive to create characters who are strong, colorful and relatable, and tell entertaining stories that embody matters of the heart.  I am currently writing for Harlequin Intrigue and Tule Publishing. My first Intrigue novel, COLD CASE, TRUE CRIME, was released in June 2021. The follow up, BAYOU CHRISTMAS DISAPPEARANCE, hit shelves in early December. Book 1 in my West Coast Crime Story series, THE HEART-SHAPED MURDERS, will be available through Harlequin on May 1st and all other retailers on May 24th. Finally, my romantic holiday thriller, BACKCOUNTRY COVER UP, will be available in November. As for Tule, I wrote two sweet holiday romances, LOVE AT THE ICICLE CAFE (2020) and CHRISTMAS IN FULL BLOOM (2021). Books 1, 2 and 3 in my Fearless Fairytale series, SHE GETS WHAT SHE WANTS, SHE GETS WHAT SHE DESERVES, and SHE GETS A HAPPY ENDING, are available now.  Fun fact: I've written several sweet and spicy novels and novellas for eXtasy Books!
