Dr. Nichols shakes hands in minute ninety-eight before being interrupted by Sam and Cosmo. They show Nichols the photo from the junket trip and tell him that Kimble broke into Sykes's apartment. Nichols claims not to know Sykes. Nichols accuses Deputy Sam of getting pretty desperate. Sam asks if Kimble has been to see Nichols, which he denies. Having covered this ground before, Nichols excuses himself and starts to walk away. Sam lets him, but then goes full Columbo and seems to want to ask one more question.
